Cynthia was born and raised in Los Angeles and earned a B.A. in Psychology from California State University, Los Angeles. Prior to joining UCLA as a Clinical Research Coordinator, she worked and volunteered with nonprofit organizations serving at-risk youth, unhoused women, underserved families. Her interests include chronic disease management, health equity, and advocacy for marginalized populations. Her goal is to work as a biostatistician to support research that informs policy and improves health outcomes while addressing social determinants of health. Outside of work, Cynthia enjoys hiking, watching movies, and spending quality time with her loved ones and her dog.
